Okay friends, here we go:

Almost all of you by now know that I had two potential job opportunities I was pursuing. The first was an assistant position at Ground Control Touring in New York, and the second was receptionist at The Agency Group in LA. After a long grueling mess of having the TAG position in the palm of my hand and trying to hold on to that while desperately reaching for the GCT job, I found out this morning that GCT didn’t want me.

Of course, I was really disappointed. GCT is a great company and in New York! I had fallen in love with the idea of getting this job and not getting it was devastating. However, I am glad I found out now, because right away I snatched the TAG job and my fear of having nothing was not realized. I spent the morning sad and all that, but now I really am looking at the silver lining and am so grateful that I at least have something. I know everyone at TAG in LA and I know a lot of people there trust me and that if I work hard and continue to prove myself as a desirable commodity, things WILL work out. I definitely have that much faith.

and hey, you know what, I am TWENTY YEARS OLD (okay, not for long, but still). That is sooo young! It’s okay for me to take time to work my way up! At least I’m not in a mailroom!
